Support For Windows Vista

Q: I do not know what has happened, but I am now seeing all of my desktop icons in a gray bar at the top of my screen. How can I get the icons back to their normal position on my Desktop?

A: The gray toolbar you are seeing is a "user" created toolbar. To remove this toolbar, look at the left of the toolbar and you should see a vertical dotted line. Right click the dotted line and select "Close Toolbar" from the resulting menu.

Next, to restore your desktop icon to the desktop:

  1. Right click your desktop.
  2. Click View.
  3. Click Show Desktop Icons
