If you do not like some of the
folder settings that Vista uses by
default. Changing these settings
easy, here's how:

Go to Start>> Control Panel>> Folder
Options icon.

Select the View tab.
-
Check or uncheck the options under
"Advanced settings:" as you see fit.
-
Click OK when finished.
