If you would like to create a Quick Launch toolbar on your desktop, here's how:

1. Go to Start>> Search. Type in: Quick Launch
2. Drag the Quick Launch folder out to the edge of your desktop.
3. Vista will now create a Quick Launch toolbar on the selected screen edge.

Note: The toolbar initially creates a toolbar that is a little large for my taste. If you would like to change the size; right click the toolbar and select View>> Small Icons.
