In order to create a strong password, be sure that the following criteria is met:

  1. The password is at least eight digits in length.
  2. It does not contain your user name, computer name, real name or company name.
  3. It does not contain a real word.
  4. Each password change should be significantly different from the previous in order to be effective.
  5. Contains at least one special character such as:

! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) : " ? > < ~

  1. It is fine if you would like to use a space in your password.

Keep in mind, the stronger the password, the stronger your protection against malicious software and hackers.

Example of a weak password:

CompuTerSysTem

This is considered to be a weak password because it contains real words. You can use these two words however, to create a strong password such as:

(omPut3r $ysT3m!
